Invoice date

FikaTrade doesn’t store or show a specific “invoice date” — an invoice’s creation time is effectively the date it was issued.

Due date

A due date is only calculated for invoices synced to Xero — FikaTrade-only invoices don’t have a due date concept at all. Where it applies, FikaTrade works it out using, in order:
  1. Payment terms set specifically for that customer, if any.
  2. Your business’s default payment terms, if set.
  3. A fallback of 30 days.
This due date is sent to Xero when the invoice is created there — it isn’t currently shown anywhere in FikaTrade’s own invoice view, so for a Xero-synced invoice, check Xero if you need to see the exact due date.
Customer-specific and business-default payment terms exist in FikaTrade’s data, but neither is currently something you can set yourself from your workspace — if you need a customer’s terms changed, contact FikaTrade.

Invoice totals

An invoice’s amount is calculated from its order’s lines — every product line, plus a delivery line if the order has one — summed ex-GST. This is recalculated from the order each time (not just copied once), so it always reflects the order’s current lines up until the invoice is finalized and locked. There’s no separate discount, freight, or surcharge concept at the invoice level beyond what’s already on the order as a line — see Orders overview.

GST

FikaTrade invoice amounts are stored ex-GST, matching product and order pricing throughout FikaTrade — see Product codes and tax settings. GST itself isn’t stored as a separate figure on the invoice in FikaTrade; it’s calculated per line, from each line’s tax setting, only when needed (for example, when sending the invoice to Xero).
