Once your account and company are set up, the next stage is configuring the customers, products and pricing your business trades with. Having this information ready before you start will make that faster.

Customers

For each customer you plan to add, have ready their business name, and — if you want to set them up in full from the start — their billing and delivery address, delivery instructions and postcode. See Add a customer for the full field list.

Products

For each product you sell, have ready a unique code, its name and description, a base price, and its GST treatment. See View and manage products for the full field list.

Pricing

FikaTrade uses pricing groups, not per-customer pricing — you’ll want to know which customers should share the same pricing before you set groups up. See the Pricing guide for how to set them up.

Invoicing and payments

  • Whether you want to connect Xero for invoicing, and your Xero login if so — see Connect FikaTrade to Xero
  • Your bank account details for receiving payouts
Payment terms (due dates) aren’t something you configure yourself yet — see Invoice dates, payment terms and totals.

What happens next

This information is what you’ll be asked for as you set each of these up in your workspace. Once it’s in place, use the Supplier setup checklist to confirm you’re ready to process live orders.
