FikaTrade’s delivery feature covers two things: configuring where and when you deliver, and tracking specific orders through delivery runs to a recorded outcome.

What this covers

  • Delivery configuration — the zones you deliver to, your recurring delivery schedule, delivery fees, and dates you don’t deliver. See Set up delivery zones, schedules and fees.
  • Delivery runs — grouping specific orders by delivery date and zone, with a driver name, and tracking the run through to completion. See Create and manage delivery runs.
  • Delivery status — recording whether a specific order was delivered or not, with a recipient name, driver name and notes. See Record delivery status.

What this doesn’t cover

FikaTrade doesn’t currently have a picking or packing workflow, picking slips, backorders, product substitutions, or partial fulfilment of an order’s quantities. There’s no separate “fulfilment” concept beyond an order’s chosen method — Pickup or Delivery — set by the customer at checkout. If your business needs to track picking or packing internally, that currently happens outside FikaTrade.

Before you begin

Every delivery action — configuring zones, schedules, fees and non-delivery dates, and creating or managing delivery runs — requires a supplier administrator account. There’s no lesser access level for delivery.

How it fits together

A delivery run’s own status and an individual order’s delivery status are tracked separately — see Delivery and run statuses for how they relate, and how both differ from order, invoice and payment status.

Where you manage this

Go to Delivery in your supplier workspace to see and manage delivery runs. Go to Settings → Delivery to configure zones, schedules, fees and non-delivery dates.
