# Pricing troubleshooting

> Common pricing and product-availability issues and what to check.

## Customer has no available products

**What it means:** the customer isn't assigned to a pricing group at all.

**What to check:** the customer's Pricing group field.

**What to do:** assign them to a pricing group.

**Who needs to act:** you.

## Customer can't see a specific product

**What it means:** either the product itself is Unavailable/archived, or it hasn't been added to the customer's pricing group.

**What to check:** the product's own Available status, and whether it's included (and marked Available) in the customer's pricing group.

**What to do:** fix whichever is the cause.

**Who needs to act:** you.

## Customer sees the wrong price

**What it means:** the price comes from whichever pricing group they're assigned to, not necessarily the one you were thinking of.

**What to check:** which pricing group the customer is on, and that group's price for the product — remembering a blank price there means it's inheriting the product's base price, not \$0.

**What to do:** correct the price in the right place — the group's price if you want an override, or the product's base price if you want it to apply broadly.

**Who needs to act:** you.

## A pricing group won't delete

**What it means:** you're trying to delete your default pricing group — this is the only pricing group that can't be removed.

**What to do:** assign your default customers elsewhere first if you genuinely need to retire it, though in most cases this isn't necessary.

**Who needs to act:** you.

## I deleted a pricing group and now a customer has no products

**What it means:** deleting a pricing group clears the assignment for every customer who was on it, without a separate warning.

**What to do:** assign the affected customer to a different pricing group.

**Who needs to act:** you.

## A price change isn't showing up for a customer

**What it means:** pricing changes apply immediately and carts aren't frozen — if a customer still sees an old price, they may be looking at a page that hasn't refreshed, or the change may have been made in the wrong pricing group.

**What to check:** which pricing group the customer is actually on, and confirm the change was saved.

**Who needs to act:** you.
