# Connect FikaTrade to Xero

> How to connect your Xero organisation, and what disconnecting does.

Connecting Xero lets FikaTrade automatically create your invoices in Xero as well as in FikaTrade.

## Before you begin

You must be a **supplier administrator** to connect, reconnect or disconnect Xero — this isn't available to other team members.

## Connect

1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
2. Select **Connect** next to Xero. You'll be taken to Xero to sign in and authorise FikaTrade.
3. After authorising, choose which Xero organisation to connect, if you have more than one.

Once connected, the integrations screen shows your connected organisation and a **Disconnect** option, and a **Reconnect** option if you ever need to redo the authorisation.

## Staying connected

FikaTrade refreshes your Xero connection automatically in the background — you shouldn't need to do anything to keep it active. If your connection ever does need reauthorising (for example, if it's been revoked from the Xero side), use **Reconnect** to go through the authorisation again.

## Disconnect

Selecting **Disconnect** removes your Xero connection entirely. Invoices already created in Xero aren't affected — they stay exactly as they are in Xero. From that point on, new invoices are created in FikaTrade only, until you reconnect.

## What happens next

Once connected, new invoices are created in Xero automatically as part of order approval — you don't need to do anything else. See [Sync invoices with Xero](/supplier-guide/invoicing/sync-with-xero) and [Xero mappings](/supplier-guide/invoicing/xero-mappings) for what to set up before your first Xero invoice.
