# Create or access your supplier account

> How to sign up, verify your email, and set up a new supplier company in FikaTrade.

FikaTrade supplier accounts are self-service — you don't need an invitation to create one.

## Before you begin

You'll need a work email address and a password of at least 10 characters.

## Steps

1. Go to the FikaTrade sign-up page and enter your email address and a password.
2. Check your email for a verification link. Email verification is required before you can continue — you can't sign in until you've verified your address.
3. Once verified, you'll be signed in and taken through a short setup flow:
   * **Your name** — enter the name you want to appear on your account.
   * **Choose Supplier.** The role selection screen also shows an option labelled **Venue**, for businesses that buy from a supplier rather than sell through FikaTrade. Selecting anything other than Supplier here signs you out — FikaTrade doesn't currently support self-service sign-up for buying businesses. If you're a customer trying to order from a supplier, ask that supplier to send you an invitation instead.
   * **Company name** — enter the name of the business you're setting up in FikaTrade.
4. Submitting the company name creates your supplier company and takes you to your new workspace.

## What happens next

You're automatically made a **supplier administrator** of the new company — the highest level of access within your workspace. From here you can configure your company details and invite the rest of your team.

One FikaTrade account can belong to more than one supplier company. If you're later added to another company, you'll be able to switch between your workspaces.

## Common issues

* **Verification email not received:** check your spam folder before requesting a new one — email verification is mandatory and you can't proceed without it.
